Homicide Cops Interrogate Catholic Priest Who Likes Guns, Heavy Drinking and Teenage Boys

Shortly after 1 p.m. on February 5, 2002, Erickson entered the office of 39 year-old Dan O’Connell, the director of O’Connell Family Funeral Homes, and shot him in the head at point blank range using a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, killing him instantly. When 22 year-old mortuary science intern James Ellison entered the room, Erickson killed him too in the same manner.

On December 7, 2004, two homicide detectives met with Erickson for the second time over the double murder.
